SITE REVISIONS
What's included, what's not, and how the clock works
Intro
A revision is any modification made to your website after the initial build is complete and delivered. Revisions are scoped to keep things moving efficiently -- they're not open-ended requests, and they're not the same as new features or a redesign. Here's exactly what falls inside and outside that boundary.
How many revisions are included
Every project includes two (2) revisions as part of the contract. Each revision covers up to one (1) hour of work. Additional revisions requested beyond those two may be subject to separate billing -- I'll always let you know before any additional charges are applied.
What counts as a revision
Each revision covers up to one (1) hour of work and includes any of the following:
Content updates - Edits to existing text on live pages, including headings, body copy, and lists. Swapping out images, videos, or audio files you provide. Updating contact details, hours, or service descriptions. Fixing spelling, grammar, or formatting.
Design tweaks - Repositioning elements like images, text blocks, or buttons. Adjusting colors, fonts, or sizes. Cleaning up visual consistency across pages -- headers, footers, navigation.
Functional adjustments - Repairing broken links. Minor navigation changes. Updating existing plugins or integrations. Small form adjustments, like adding or removing a field.
Revision will NOT include any of the following:
If a request falls into any of the following categories, it's scoped separately - not folded into a revision slot.
Major design changes - Rebuilding a page layout from scratch. Overhauling the site's overall look, theme, or branding. Creating new logos, icons, or brand graphics.
New features or pages - Adding pages that don't currently exist. Implementing membership systems, e-commerce, or advanced search. Custom development, APIs, or third-party integrations that require build time.
Substantial content creation - Writing or rewriting large sections of copy. Developing new graphics, infographics, or illustrations beyond minor updates. SEO copywriting for new or existing pages.
Ongoing SEO or marketing work - Keyword research, on-page SEO strategy, backlink building. Social media, email, or paid ad management. Traffic reporting and analytics.
Ongoing maintenance - Routine upkeep outside the post-launch period is covered under a separate maintenance agreement, not revision hours.
Bug fixes - Resolving errors or glitches affecting performance or user experience. Cross-browser and cross-device compatibility fixes. Page load issues.
✰ Note: Some bug fixes are handled directly through Wix support, and I'll route those appropriately.
Not sure if your request is a revision or something bigger?
If you're not certain which category your request falls into, just ask before submitting. I'd rather clarify up front than have either of us be surprised mid-project.
